Support for the Formation of Novices and Major Seminarians

Support for the formation of novices and major seminarians of the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (MSFS) in the Province of East Africa enables the congregation to train its future missionary priests. It empowers the congregation to grow locally, escalate religious life, and increase the number of missionary priests on the ground to serve in cities, towns and rural villages in Africa.

The project provides the rapidly growing African Church spiritually mature and professionally qualified personnel to meet the pastoral and spiritual needs of its people. It helps to mitigate the acute shortage of priests in Africa and allows the MSFS to spearhead the evangelization on this vast continent.

Living Waters' support provides the fiscal means for priestly candidates to actively engage in pastoral ministry and youth animation programs in parishes, schools and universities during their formation. Fransalian candidates lead catechetical seminars for youth and young adults and facilitate faith formation programs in parishes and educational institutions. Their presence and service are a living witness to the Catholic faith and plant the seeds to inspire vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
